Integration FAQ
Can I connect to multiple practice management systems?
Each matter can be linked to one practice management system at a time (either Clio OR MyCase, not both). However, your firm can have some matters linked to Clio and others linked to MyCase.
Will connecting affect my existing data?
No. Connecting only enables syncing. Your existing data in both systems remains unchanged. You control what gets imported and exported.
How often does data sync?
Matters sync every 15 minutes automatically. You can also trigger a manual sync anytime from the matter detail page.
Can I disconnect at any time?
Yes. Go to Settings > Integrations and click "Disconnect." Your data in ProvaLens remains, but sync stops. Documents already imported stay in ProvaLens.
Is my data secure during sync?
Yes. All data is transferred over encrypted connections (TLS 1.3). OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. We never store your passwords for any connected service.
Can I use cloud storage sync and a PMS integration together?
Yes. You can connect your Clio or MyCase account for matter sync while also linking OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox folders to individual cases. They work independently.
Does ProvaLens modify or delete my cloud files?
Never. ProvaLens uses read-only access. We download a copy of your files for processing but never modify, move, or delete anything in your cloud storage.
Can I import emails from Gmail?
Email import currently supports Microsoft 365 / Outlook accounts. Gmail support is planned for a future release. Contact us if this is important for your firm.
Do calendar events sync both ways?
Events created in ProvaLens sync to your Outlook calendar automatically. Existing Outlook events are not imported into ProvaLens — ProvaLens is the source of truth for case events.
